In 2018, Sony introduced that it was investing about $9 billion over three years into its picture sensor enterprise in a bid to dominate the digital images market. On the time, CEO Kenichiro Yoshida mentioned that the corporate’s purpose is to develop into the highest digital camera model on this planet by 2021 and, it appears, that funding is paying off.
